About Cani Mint™

I’m Charlie Val, based in Boca Raton, Florida, and Cani Mint™ came from a problem I had with my own dog. My dog, Kitty, is a Shih Tzu, and her breath got really bad. Not just normal dog breath, the kind that makes you pull away. On top of that, tartar kept building up no matter what I tried.

I was even paying over $200 every six months for deep cleanings at the groomer. It helped for a few days, then everything went back to the same. That’s when I realized this wasn’t something you fix once in a while, it needed to be handled daily.

I tried everything, chews, sprays, treats. Some worked for a bit, most didn’t. And honestly, I didn’t feel great about the ingredients in a lot of those products either. It all felt like temporary fixes.

I’ve always been a dog lover, and I know how much they mean to us. I didn’t just want to fix this for my dog, I wanted to help other dog parents dealing with the same thing.

So I decided to create something simple that actually works over time. That’s how LabK9™ started, and Cani Mint™ was the first product. It’s a daily dental powder with vitamins for gum support and probiotics to help balance bacteria in the mouth, so it works at the source instead of just covering things up.

It’s made for all dogs, no matter the size or breed, and it’s easy to use, just one scoop on their food.

At the end of the day, I just wanted something I could use every day and actually see a difference with for my dog, and for yours.
